Say No to single-use wrapping paper! How to wrap your gift with Kind Bag
Gifting with Less Waste. According to the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), the UK throws away enough wrapping paper every year to stretch to the moon, as we mentioned in our previous blog. How shocking. Skipping wrapping paper altogether is one way to tackle this. But if you still want to keep that opening-a-gift feeling, we have a solution for you. Wrap your gift with a Kind Bag, made from 100% recycled plastic bottles! Yes, it's a bag, but it makes a beautiful alternative to single-use wrapping paper, and it becomes a second gift once it's unwrapped. Wrapping your gifts with a Kind Bag is kinder to the planet, adds more value to your gift, and makes it look colourful and festive. How to wrap your gift with Kind Bag Here's a basic wrapping method that works for pretty much anything. Our Medium Reusable Bag measures 39 x 64 x 17cm, so even a big book like the one below fits comfortably. 1. Place your gift inside the bag. Lift the bag to make sure the gift sits in the middle of the bottom. 2. Place the bag on a flat surface and tie the handles as tight as possible. 3. Make a bow with the handles. 4. Arrange the bag's fabric to the shape of the gift. 5. If you like, add more decorations, such as dried flowers and a message tag! For smaller items you can use our Mini Reusable Bags too. For narrow, long items (such as a bottle of wine), in step 2 bring the handles round to the other side and tie the bow there. We hope these tips help you reduce waste over the festive period. Happy sustainable Christmas! ✌️🎄
